Africa Luxury Safaris Collection
Private luxury safaris across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda, built around exclusive access, expert guiding and a pace that is entirely yours.
Explore SafarisLuxury on safari transcends the basic comforts one might expect, such as high thread counts in linens; it truly revolves around exclusive and immersive experiences. Imagine starting your day with a sunrise over the savannah, sipping freshly brewed coffee while observing the wildlife awaken. This level of luxury often includes access to private conservancies, where wildlife encounters are intimate and tailored, allowing you to observe majestic animals without the distraction and bustle of other vehicles nearby.
Your experience is further elevated by expert guides who have dedicated decades to mastering the intricacies of the landscape and understanding animal behaviours. These guides bring a wealth of knowledge, enriching your journey through captivating stories and insights that can only come from years of hands-on experience in the wild.
Our itineraries are meticulously crafted to cater to your unique interests and preferences, ensuring that every aspect of your safari is personalised. Whether you have a passion for photography, want to learn about conservation efforts, or wish to explore the local cultures, we provide the flexibility to focus entirely on what excites you the most. This level of attention to detail transforms a typical safari into a truly unforgettable adventure, where every moment is curated just for you.
With more than 13 years of experience in the safari industry, we take pride in crafting each adventure to be exclusively private for our guests. You will have your own dedicated vehicle and a knowledgeable guide, which grants you the freedom to personalise every aspect of your journey. Whether you prefer the excitement of embarking on up to six game drives in a single day or wish to savor a more leisurely pace with just two excursions, we are here to accommodate your preferences. Our goal is to strike the perfect balance between exploration and relaxation, ensuring you have ample time to unwind and enjoy the comforts of the lodge. You can immerse yourself in the breathtaking wildlife and stunning landscapes while knowing that every detail is tailored just for you.
Kenya’s private conservancies around the Maasai Mara, Laikipia and Samburu offer exclusivity that the national reserves cannot: fewer vehicles, off-road driving, and night drives that are not permitted inside the parks themselves. Tanzania’s Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater pair beautifully with a private mobile camp that moves with the migration.
Uganda and Rwanda add mountain gorilla trekking to the itinerary, both with camps built specifically around a smaller number of guests and a higher staff ratio. We combine destinations rather than treat them separately, so a Kenya-Rwanda or Tanzania-Uganda itinerary reads as one journey, not two trips stitched together
June through October is the dry season, when wildlife concentrates around water and the Great Migration crosses into Kenya’s Masai Mara, generally the busiest and most sought-after window for a luxury safari. November through May is quieter, with better rates at the same properties and newborn wildlife on the plains during the January to March calving season.
Gorilla trekking permits in Uganda and Rwanda run year-round. We plan around your travel window first, since a well-timed shoulder-season trip often delivers a better experience than a peak-season one at a busier camp.
The difference is rarely visible in a brochure. It shows up in the details:
None of this changes what you see. It changes how much of it you have to yourself
We only recommend properties we have stayed in ourselves, and for a luxury safari that means checking specifically for a low guest-to-staff ratio, genuine privacy between tents or suites, and a location inside a private conservancy where sightings are not shared with the wider public. Many of the camps we use offer exclusive-use options, where the entire property is reserved for your group alone.
Every property meets the same standard: experienced guides, a kitchen that can accommodate specific requests without notice, and staff who have worked in these camps for years, not months
A luxury safari pairs naturally with a beach extension, and Zanzibar and Kenya’s coast are the two we use most, both a short flight from the main safari circuit. For travellers who want something quieter, Lamu on Kenya’s north coast offers the same standard of privacy with far fewer visitors.
Rwanda extends differently: after gorilla trekking, Lake Kivu offers a calmer, more contemplative finish to the trip, well suited to a shorter itinerary that still feels complete
Off-road driving, night drives and low vehicle density are only possible in the conservancies we work with directly
Your own vehicle and guide throughout, with no fixed group schedule to accommodate
George Nchau's team has stayed in every property on our list, vetted specifically for exclusivity and service
Multi-country routings, private charters and pacing are all built around your priorities, not a template
