Young children can enjoy the sandbox and climbing frame, as well as engage in clay moulding and painting activities.

Restaurant & Bar

The Acacia restaurant offers à la carte meals that are meticulously prepared by our executive chef. They prioritise using the freshest ingredients sourced locally. Guests can pre-book their meals and choose from various cuisines, including BBQ, Kenyan, Italian, and Indian. Special dietary restrictions can be accommodated upon request.

To ensure families enjoy their meal times, we serve the youngest guests early, allowing them to stay happy and energised for playtime at the Kids’ Safari Club. For those looking to try something unique, we recommend "Dining in the Bush," a beloved experience perfect for couples or groups of friends.

Additionally, Tilly’s Bar and the Hop Inn Bar are available for drinks and cocktails, providing stunning views of the surrounding wildlife.

Conservancy History

The ranch was originally acquired in the 1960s by conservation pioneer Mr. David Hopcraft. In 1982, a group of students came to study wildlife and needed accommodations, which led to the construction of the lodge and a tented campsite. The program was successful and generated significant interest, prompting further development and growth. The lodge officially opened to the public in the early 2000s. Since there are no dangerous animals in the area, nature walks and biking through the wilderness became as popular as safari game drives for the first time.

Location of the Lodge

Only a 40-minute drive from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, they are located on the sprawling Swara Plains and have unbridled access to the 20,000 acres of wildlife sanctuary surrounding them.
