Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Nairobi

Arrive in Nairobi, where you are met and transferred to your hotel. Be briefed on various destinations of your safari.

Day 2: Explore Kenyan Highlands and wildlife at Aberdare National Park

Begin your safari adventure with a drive from Nairobi to Aberdare National Park. Enjoy the scenic views of the Kenyan Highlands and the rich scenery of the central Kenyan landscape. The Aberdare national park is a gem located within a protected area of the Aberdare Mountain Range which serves as the third-highest range of mountains in Kenya. The area is popularly known for its salient forests, variety of landscapes and prolific game.  It also boasts of moorlands, plains and abundant tree cover that are specific to the Aberdare ranges. 

A typical Game Drive includes sightings of Forest elephants, Bongo, Buffaloes, Hyenas, Bush babies, Mongoose and Porcupine, also you might see bird species such as common Bulbul, Shrikes, Weaver, Sparrows, Lapwings among others, and a view of Mt. Kenya.

Day 3: Hot Springs and Flamingos of Lake Bogoria

Head to Lake Bogoria. Enjoy scenic views of the Great Rift Valley, and expect a change of weather to a warmer climate. Lake Bogoria is a saline alkaline lake that lies in a volcanic region, a little north of the equator. The lake is covered with endless swarms of bright, pink flamingoes. Dotting this lake and surrounding areas, steamy hot springs enhance the already dreamlike atmosphere. Now add in the sight of numerous bubbling geysers erupting along the banks and from within the lake itself.

On your game drive and you might see animals such as Leopard tortoise, Impala, Dik-dik, Zebras, Grant gazelle, Warthog among others.

A light break with lunch at the resort before heading out for an afternoon/evening game drive at the Lake where you shall have a chance to walk a few meters to the hot springs and have a breathtaking view of the Great Rift Valley. You might see bird species such as African fish eagles,  Flamingos, Grey crowned cranes, and Hamercop among others.

Day 4: Hell's Gate National Park

Hell’s Gate National Park is named after a narrow break in the cliffs, once a tributary of a prehistoric lake that fed early humans in the Rift Valley. Spectacular scenery including the towering cliffs, water-gouged gate gorge, stark rock towers, scrub-clad volcanoes and belching plumes of geothermal steam make it one of the most atmospheric Parks in Africa. 

Hell's Gate is also home to three geothermal power stations at Olkaria. The park is equipped with three campsites and includes a Maasai cultural centre, providing education about the Maasai tribe's culture and traditions. You might opt out to have a cycling game drive at the park offered at an additional cost. Later you might opt to do an evening boat ride or unwind at the hotel as you prepare for the tour of Maasai Mara National Reserve.

Day 5: Into the Maasai Mara

It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Kenya and Africa at large. It has exceptional big cat (lion, leopard and cheetah) sightings and superb wildlife viewing throughout the year. Here is where one of the most phenomenal natural spectacles in the world happens, the wildebeest migration. Explore the jewel in Kenya's crown; the wildlife-rich Masai Mara National Reserve. The quintessential Masai Mara safari delivers many attractions, as the reserve is home to an excellent year-round concentration of game

Enjoy Game Drive in Mara and have a chance to see a variety of wild animals such as Lions, Leopard, Cheetah, Elephants, Buffaloes, Maasai giraffes, Spotted hyenas, Dwarf mongooses, Hippos in the pool, Baboons, Impalas, Topis among others. Bird species that you might encounter include; Oxypecker, Marabu stock, Martial eagle, Woodpecker, Gebes, Hornbill, Wagtails, and Tropical Boubou among others. You will also have a chance to see the famous Mara River where thousands of wildebeest cross every year accompanied by plain zebras.  You will also have a chance to visit Maasai Manyatta and have a taste of their culture this includes participation in dances, milk mixed with blood, and making of fire from hardwood and softwood. You shall also have a chance to buy their art and crafts. Afterwards, you will then prepare for tomorrow's tour to Nairobi where you shall enjoy the morning game drive as you transit and board your international flight.

Day 6: End of Safari

Your last day on this safari. You will start the day with an early morning before heading back to the camp for breakfast and check out. You will have an en-route game drive as you check out from Masai Mara. Expected time in Nairobi is around lunchtime. Head to a hotel for lunch or opt to have your lunch at the Carnivore.
