Overview

Eagle View Safari Camp is located on an escarpment, with sweeping views that overlook the Koiyaki Plains, a natural salt lick and a watering hole all providing a common hunting site for predators and unique game viewing perspectives. Basecamp Eagle View is as popular a luxury camp with those seeking an adventurous escape as it is with guests looking for that ultimate relaxation spot, with blissful afternoons in the golden sun and evenings meditating under the immense, starry night sky.

The camp’s light footprint on the surrounding area gives the impression that it is supposed to be here - almost as if nature had selected the location and provided the tents. Each of the nine traditional canvas tents benefits from its own ensuite bathroom and can be arranged with a double bed, or two single beds, depending on your requirements. From the bedroom, guests wake up to mesmerizing views and can step directly out onto a private terrace and enjoy a drink before heading over for breakfast - or take breakfast on the terrace if you prefer. The tents are decorated with no extra clutter - simplicity ensures that the natural environment continues to shine as the genuine star of the show.

Location, community engagement and responsible tourism are the key elements here, which make for a positive impact stay in the Mara. The views are exceptional for this reserve, where the terrain is generally fairly flat. The camp holds its own in terms of comfort and style against most mid-range camps in the Mara.
