A thriving modern capital, Nairobi is still the safari capital of the Africa among the most interesting cities.
A city that has boundless energy, a place of great contrasts where race, tribe and origin all become facets of a unique Nairobi character.
The city has not lost its sense of the past, with an excellent museum and the historical home of Karen Blixen, author of Out of Africa open to visitors.
This is not a modern capital separated from the great wilderness that surrounds it. Just outside the city is Nairobi National Park, 113 sq kms of plains, cliffs and forest. The park is home to large herds of Zebra, Buffalo, Giraffe, Rhino, Cheetah, and a large number of Lions are all found here, living wild within 20 minutes of the center of town.
0730HRS. Pick up at meeting point and be transferred to Nairobi National park for a 2 hours morning game drive. Where you might spot wild animals such as; Buffaloes,Lions,Impala,Zebras,Maasai giraffe,Eland,Hartebeest,African Leopard,Waterbuck,Baboons among others. Birds species likely to be spotted include;Ostrich,Ducks,Gunieafowl,Grebes,Pheasants,Doves,Pigeons,Kori Bustard,Sandgrouse,Turacoes,Cuckoo,Hamerkop,Herons ,Hawks,Vultures,Hornbill among others.
ANIMAL ORPHANAGE.
1000HRS. As you check out of Nairobi National park, you shall check in at animal orphanage where you shall have a chance to spot caged rescued animals such as Lions, Buffaloes,Hyenas,Porcupines,Leopard,Cheetah among others. Not forgetting bird species.
1045HRS. You shall check out of Animal Orphanage and be transferred to David Sheldrick Elephant and Rhino orphanage.
DAVID SHELDRICK ELEPHANT AND RHINO ORPHANAGE.
1120HRS. You shall check in at David Sheldrick elephant and rhino orphanage where you shall have a chance to see young calves of rhinos and elephant being fed with milk and having a mud bath too. You shall also have a chance to touch them.
1200HRS.You shall check out of David Sheldrick Orphanage and be transferred to a restaurant for lunch and relaxation till 1400HRS.
GIRAFFE CENTER.
1400hrs. You shall check out of the restaurant and be transferred to Giraffe Center where you shall have a chance to interact with the endangered species of Rothschild Giraffe feed them and have a "kiss" . You shall also interact with warthogs that roam around the compound.
At 1600hrs.You shall check out of the Giraffe Center and be transferred to your pick up point.
